The list is compiled by Regtransfers website, UK’s largest independent dealer in personalised number plates

Abu Dhabi dominates a global list of the most
expensive car number plates ever sold, according to a list compiled by
Regtransfers website, the UK’s largest independent dealer in personalised
number plates.

Buyers from the UAE capital account for 37 of
the top 50 most expensive plates ever sold. The 37 Abu Dhabi buyers listed in
the rankings collectively spent AED222.9m ($60.6m), or an average of AED6
($1.6m) for their car plates.

Victims who have lost everything, and in some cases all their family members, as a result of some of the most horrific disasters that have occured throughout the world could have done with some of this wasted money.

This money goes back to the government which in return spends on infrastructure, utilities and services to make your life better. So do not blame anyone for shelling out

Faisal, do you have proof this money returns to the government? If I own a number'77' plate for example it's mine. Someone wants to pay me 10m AED is their business but that money comes back to ME?

I have A friend who purchased some UK number plates and just sold them for 100k GBP each. they read BO55 DXB and H.H 55AUD..

Strange. As BOSS DXB is available to purchase at reg transfers for 108k. Their commission is over 20k on that plate. So is the person selling at a loss.
