World's slimmest smartphone goes on sale in the MidEast

Fly by Eurostar has launched the Fly Blade – a super sleek 5.1mm slim smart phone – reputably the slimmest phone in the market and announced that Souq.com, the online retail portal, is the exclusive online retail launch partner in the Middle East.

Measuring at only 5.1mm thin, the Fly Blade weighs just 95.5 grams, and costs AED999.

Commenting on the tie-up with Souq.com, Raju Jethwani, chairman, EUROSTAR Group, said: “As one of the largest online retailers in the region, Souq.com offers us a great platform to feature our latest, and most revolutionary smartphone, the Fly Blade. This festive season sees a rush for mobiles and gadgets and partnering with Souq.com enables people to be amongst the first few people to experience the phones.”

One of the largest e-commerce site in the Arab world, Souq.com features over 400,000 products and attracts more than 23 million visits per month. Their products range from electronics, fashion to household goods. Fly Blade will be a part of its technology based products, falling under the category of smartphones.

Fly Blade offers a range of features, including face recognition phone lock, smart gestures, and a vibrant 4.8” Super AMOLED display. Scratch resistant Gorilla Glass protects both the display and the rear panels of the Fly Blade, with a metal encasing that ensures the device does not bend.

A 16GB memory allows users to store every memory and explore the vast multimedia potential of the Fly Blade, complemented with a USB On-the-Go feature, which enables easy connection to peripheral devices, such as external storage USB Devices.

The phone also boasts a long-lasting Lithium-Ion 2050 mille-ampere hour battery, guaranteeing users 140 hours of uninterrupted operation in standby mode, and 8 hours talk time.

The following phones are already slimmer.

'the slimmest phone in the market' which is correct, the others are not for sale in the ME, you did all that research looking for other phones and couldn't even be bothered to actually read the article. (although the guy did get carried away with the headline)
