Yamanah’s profits fall

Saudi Arabia's largest cement company reported a net fall of 29% in the fourth-quarter of last year

Saudi Arabia's largest cement company reported a net fall of 29% in the fourth-quarter of last year.

Yamamah Cement's net profit of US $29.8 million (SR111.69 million) was down on the same period in 2005, with the company blaming the drop in profits on fluctuating sales revenue.

A statement posted on the bourse website said net profit for 2006 rose 20% to $162 million, while its operating profit for the same period was 17% up at $168 million.
