A power outage hit operations at Saudi Basic Industries Corp's (SABIC) petrochemicals plants in Yanbu, the company said on Wednesday, adding that its deliveries would not be affected.
SABIC, the world's biggest petrochemicals company by market value, in a statement on the bourse website said:"The storm and heavy rains in Yanbu on Tuesday caused a power outage which affected operations at SABIC's facilities."
The statement added that operations at Yansab, Ibn Rushd, and Yanpet plants were halted temporarily.
It said that power has been restored and SABIC is working to bring operations back to normal, adding that the company's commitments to customers would not be affected.
