Yemen President Saleh took time out on his country’s National Day to visit the Huawei-installed SDH project, which connects Sana to Sayun.

He told Huawei engineers at the site, “I’ve heard that Huawei’s equipment is very good. Seeing is believing. I hope that Yemen Telecom will launch more co-operation with Huawei Technologies.”

He also expressed a hope to visit Huawei some day when invited to do so.

The President visited the equipment site on the occasion of Yemen’s national day on the 29th May. The contract includes 17 stations, 10 sets of SBS622/2500 equipment.

The whole project started on 10th May. By the end of May, a backbone network from Sana to Sayun had been finished. It was aimed at solving the transmission bottleneck between the two cities.
