Kuwaiti telecom company Zain announced on Saturday it will begin offering international telephone services on Wataniya Airways flights.
Passengers aboard Wataniya flights will be able to receive phone calls mid-air, Zain’s CEO Khaled Al-Hajeri said on Saturday,
Currently, passengers are able to send and receive SMS messages while mid-flight, Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported. But, the new offering will mean travellers will have access to the internet, email and BlackBerry services.
“The international vocal roaming service on board Wataniyah aircraft will bolster the company's interaction with its clients,” Kuna reported the firm as saying.
