Zeine leaves Arabia Online

The long standing CEO’s departure was confirmed this morning in an official statement.

Arabia Online, owner of Arabia.com, has released a statement confirming the departure of CEO Ramzi Zeine.The decision was made at a meeting of Arabia’s board of directors last week. Zeine, a co-founder of Arabia.com, will remain a major shareholder in the company.The official statement said: “Part of the Board discussion revolved around the portal operation in addition to management and structural changes in the immediate and near future. As part of the restructuring, the resignation of Ramzi Zeine from his operational post of CEO was accepted and the Board appointed Mohsan Parvez as the new CEO.”Arabia has made several management changes in recent months, and recently moved a large chunk of its operations back to Jordan from Dubai in an effort to bring down costs.
