Zelan collects DIC Sidra deal

Dubai-based Zelan Contracting Company has picked up a contract worth US $86.5 million (AED318 million) for the construction of the 45-storey Sidra Tower in Dubai Internet City.

Dubai-based Zelan Contracting Company has picked up a contract worth US $86.5 million (AED318 million) for the construction of the 45-storey Sidra Tower in Dubai Internet City.

Construction is expected to get underway soon and has been earmarked for completion in December 2008.

Zelan Contracting is a subsidiary of Malaysian development company Zelan Group.

Arcan Project Management Services has been appointed project manager, while APG (Architecture and Planning Group) is the consultant.

The tower will offer serviced apartments, offices and retail space.

Zelan Group is also part of the IJM Consortium, which won a contract in September to execute the construction of Zone C of Tamouh Investments’ $1.36 billion project – Marina Square Plot 1 – on Al Reem Island development in Abu Dhabi.
