A Dubai businessman has been linked with a possible bid to buy a top Italian football club.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday reported that Saeed Al-Falasi, the owner of the International Triangle Group, is interested in buying AC Milan, amid doubts over owner Yonghong Li’s finances.
The Chinese businessman bought the club last April, but a loan from US hedge fund Elliot Management was required to get the deal over the line, the paper said, adding that if that money isn’t repaid the fund can take over the club.
International Triangle is a group of companies dealing in general trading, real estate, and construction and was established by Al-Falasi who is also the chairman.
