US hotel heiress Paris Hilton is planning a return trip to Dubai after filming a series of her reality TV show in the emirate two years ago, the socialite said Monday.

“Planning a trip to Dubai very soon. So excited! Can't wait!” Hilton said in a message on her Twitter account.

Hilton, who shot to fame after starring in the MTV series ‘The Simple Life’, visited the Gulf state in 2009 to film an Arabic version of her show ‘My New BFF’.

The airing of the show was delayed for more than two years over payment disputes with law suits filed in both the UAE and California. The series eventually aired on MTV in April this year and is due to broadcast on a number of international channels later this year.

It is not clear whether Hilton is travelling to Dubai to film a second series of the show or to pursue separate business interests. The heiress has links to a number of stores in Dubai selling her Paris Hilton fashion label, which focuses largely on bags and accessories.

Local producers in Dubai contacted by Arabian Business said they had not been contacted by any of Hilton’s representatives about possible filming in the emirate.

In 2008, it was reported Hilton was to lend her name to a set of towers in Dubai, as part of a $2m three-year deal with an Abu Dhabi-based developer.
