Born in 1947, his experience and understanding of the diamond industry has allowed him to build a huge network of companies in fifteen countries employing more than 15,000 people.

As well as his role as chairman at Rosy Blue Group, Mehta is vice chairman of Dubai Diamond Exchange, chairman of the Governing Council of LIFE, an organization comprising Saurashtra Medical and Charitable Trust and the Indian Medical Scientific Research Foundation.
