Ooredoo Oman is investing RO 60 million ($156 million) this year in expanding its network and enhancing service quality to its customers, according to its CEO, as reported by Oman Observer.
Greg Young, CEO, Ooredoo Oman said: “A substantial amount will be invested in enhancing our 4G Internet quality and coverage, with the aim of providing additional value to our customers”.
The telecoms service provider also completed their fibre optic network across the length and breadth of the country, spanning 5,500 km and more than 100,000 households will be able to benefit from their superfast fibre home broadband to their doorstep by the year end.
“Next year we will see a further increase to 180,000 households who can enjoy superfast speeds, as we continue to push our great value-added plans out to the market. Once customers have experienced fibre, they won’t want to go back”, Young added.
