Dubai’s Heritage Village lights up for UAE’s National Day
Fireworks light up Dubai Creek as Emiratis and expats celebrate 40th anniversary
Green light, representing one of the colours of the UAE flag, is shone onto the water in Dubai Creek. The celebrations started with a show about the UAE’s history since the days of pearl diving and fishing, followed by a sound and light show that was displayed on the sails of dhow ships sailing the creek back and forth, accompanied by orch
A flame and laser show started on a sailing boat, followed by fireworks that lit up Dubai’s sky, including a formation of the number 40.

There’s a large central fort and tower which overlooks the Dubai Heritage Village. Other added attractions of Heritage Village are falaj, an oasis and vegetated seating areas.
