One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure, to paraphrase the popular saying.
This is certainly true for Wafa Sayadi, who launched environment for-profit enterprise Proclean in 2003, offering waste management and public area environmental services.
Her entrepreneurial endeavours saw her take the role of director of CEED Tunisia – an organisation launched in 2013 to help train entrepreneurs and give them access to funding and new markets.
Sayadi is also the International President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association National (CJD), and has acted as the Chair of the Board for Enactus Tunisia.
During her CJD presidency she initiated the first Tunisian women entrepreneur incubator, helping to boost the potential for females in opportunity-deprived parts of Tunisia, and also started the Wajjahni programme which highlights young entrepreneurial success stories to inspire youth to take risks and invest in their passions.
