Tim Hortons has huge potential in Beirut, India, Pakistan and Hong Kong in particular where a large expatriate and immigrant Canadian population base exists. In India especially, it is a no brainer but it must expand steadily and not rapidly in this market.

Tim Hortons is a place that is very good at serving below-average-everything. They should get a prize for it. I wish the Saudi people (who will probably fall for it) a lot of luck trying to guzzle down that waste water they try to pass off as "coffee". You can probably get a better cup at any given gas station from one of those vending machines.

@Procan, I have a question for you, is Chris Hadfield the cooler Canadian ever?
Next time someone complains about Canada/Canadians being boring you should send a link to they guy playing Space Oddity in the ISS!

jonjon, curiously...... you do not understand that Gulf States love and emulate all things from North America and the EU.

they'll mess up just like they did in the states, these master-license conglomerates in the region should focus on creating brands and growing instead of signing deals with foreign companies all the time. timmys in a national brand outside of canada it is not heard of, does it make sense to open in the gulf? were locals have not heard of it. canadian expats are not a big percentage of the labour market in the gcc.
