Tim Hortons has huge potential in Beirut, India, Pakistan and Hong Kong in particular where a large expatriate and immigrant Canadian population base exists. In India especially, it is a no brainer but it must expand steadily and not rapidly in this market.

Tim Hortons is a place that is very good at serving below-average-everything. They should get a prize for it. I wish the Saudi people (who will probably fall for it) a lot of luck trying to guzzle down that waste water they try to pass off as "coffee". You can probably get a better cup at any given gas station from one of those vending machines.

they'll mess up just like they did in the states, these master-license conglomerates in the region should focus on creating brands and growing instead of signing deals with foreign companies all the time. timmys in a national brand outside of canada it is not heard of, does it make sense to open in the gulf? were locals have not heard of it. canadian expats are not a big percentage of the labour market in the gcc.
