Vienna might not be the first city you think of when it
comes to being Halal-friendly but Austria’s capital city offers enough Muslim
tourist attractions to make it to this year’s top ten list. The city is
well-known for playing an essential role as a leading European Music Centre as
well as a home to several international organisations such as the United
Nationals and OPEC. Approximately 8.4 million Muslims live in Austria, making
it home to a number of mosques and other Muslim tourist attractions such as the
Vienna Islamic Centre and Turkish Islamic Cultural Center.
