The vice chairwoman of Kuwait Finance and Investment Company, Riham Fouad Al Ghanim has helped pave the way for other female economic leaders in the region. She helps run the Fouad Al Ghanim Group – one of Kuwait’s most diverse conglomerates.
From small beginnings in the mid-1960s, the Alghanim Group has grown into a huge and highly diversified multinational corporation.
Today, Alghanim has several independent divisions and numerous subsidiaries in the Middle East, the United States, Europe and Africa. The group is a leading provider of Audi, Skoda and Lamborghini vehicles. Fouad Al Ghanim & Sons Automotive Company was founded in 2004.
The firm also has partnerships with international companies looking to invest in Kuwaiti oil schemes. Other divisions that the holding company oversees include aviation, industrial, investment, oil and gas, defence, shipping, hospitality and real estate.
Riham also oversees both the Kuwait Continental Hotel Co. and Sama Kuwait travel company. She studied at the American University in Paris.
