The UAE Government has launched the Unified UAE Numbers platform, a comprehensive national system for AI-powered data and statistics designed to deliver accurate, real-time information to guide policy, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen the country’s readiness for future shifts.
Unveiled during the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025, the platform is being developed by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and in coordination with federal and local entities, and will be hosted on the UAE Government Federal Network (FedNet).
The platform stems from the Economic Data Retreat, where national leaders and experts discussed enhancing the UAE’s statistics ecosystem, its governance, and mechanisms for data exchange among government bodies.
The initiative represents a major step towards in the country’s shift from traditional data collection to intelligent, knowledge-based governance.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, said the initiative marks “a transition from compiling data to managing knowledge, from traditional statistics to smart statistics”.
He added, “The Unified UAE Numbers platform opens new horizons for decision makers to harness the power of data to drive development, strengthen the national economy’s competitiveness and reinforce the UAE’s global status”.
Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State, Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet, and General Supervisor of the FCSC, said the platform “embodies the leadership’s vision for a future government driven by data and AI”.
She described it as a major milestone in the government’s digital transformation, enabling entities to make “swift, precise decisions backed by trusted, real-time data”.
Al Hammadi noted that the platform’s first phase involved 28 national entities and the establishment of 380 economic indicators within a unified framework for GDP, balance of payments, and investment data.
She emphasised the role of smart data in shaping public policy, setting national priorities, and measuring progress, saying the initiative will strengthen the UAE’s readiness for AI integration and promote a data-driven culture of innovation and sustainability.
The Unified UAE Numbers platform is expected to become a cornerstone of the UAE’s next generation of digital governance, powering smarter decisions, improving transparency, and enabling faster responses to economic and social trends.
