Khaled Rashed is the founder and CEO of CORECAP, a leading alternative investment firm with operations in Dubai and Qatar. CORECAP MERCHANT BANK was the first specialized private equity firm to be regulated by QFCRA.
Prior to founding CORECAP, Mr. Rashed was Board Member and CEO of Amwal Investment Bank in Qatar, Vice President of Abraaj Capital and manager of Direct Equities in
Dubai Islamic Bank
. He started his career as a corporate banker in Commercial International Bank in Egypt.
Under his leadership, CORECAP was acknowledged as a New Champion by the World Economic Forum and selected as a member of the community of Global Growth Companies in 2008; and Amwal was awarded the “Leading Investment Firm in Qatar” in 2006.
In 2009, Mr. Rashed was awarded “Entrepreneur CEO of the Year” by
ITP
. He was voted a Young Arab Leader by the YAL Association and was selected as a member of the International “Who’s Who” historical society. He is a board member of the UAE chapter of the CEO Club, member of the
