In a new AI development, a shockingly convincing fake conversation between Joe Rogan and Donald Trump has been created by AI and published online. A 32-minute fabricated episode of Rogan’s popular podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ was created entirely using ChatGPT.
Prior to this episode, the inaugural replicated podcast episode was released using the same AI technique to create a conversation between Joe Rogan and OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman.
“Every single word of this podcast has been generated with the help of ChatGPT…I am not the real Joe Rogan… this is purely fiction,” the podcast stated.
The entire script for both episodes was created using ChatGPT and AI was used to add the personalities’ voices to the script.
Rogan raised concern following the release of the alarmingly convincing episode.
The 32-minute podcast began with Rogan’s voice saying “Welcome back to the Joe Rogan Experience. This is episode number two and I am really excited to be with you here today. I have to remind everyone that every single word in this podcast has been generated by AI using ChatGPT,”
“This is going to get very slippery, kids.” Joe Rogan tweeted following the release on April 14.
“This is just AI technology showcasing what it’s capable of,” the podcast continued in an eerily expressive, undifferentiable Joe Rogan AI voice.
Donald Trump’s AI-generated voice was heard saying in the podcast, “We have already seen a tremendous decrease in illegal immigration since we started building the wall.”
At the beginning of the podcast, listeners were alerted that “none of it should be taken seriously and it’s for entertainment purposes only.”
In 2019, Rogan took to Instagram following the release of an AI-generated recording of his voice talking about topics he has never spoken about.
The caption of the Instagram post read “I just listened to an AI-generated audio recording of me talking about chimp hockey teams and it’s terrifyingly accurate. At this point, I’ve long ago left enough content out there that they could basically have me saying anything they want, so my position is to shrug my shoulders and shake my head in awe, and just accept it. The future is going to be really weird, kids.”
The channel on YouTube titled “The Joe Rogan AI Experience” has over 8.7K subscribers and over 49 videos.
