Kuwait gears up for its first Grand Hyatt hotel

The new hotel sits within the 360 Mall which comprises of 130,000 square metres of retail space, the 5,800-seater multi-purpose Arena Kuwait, and an arena with tennis courts operated by the Rafa Nadal Academy Kuwait

The Grand Hyatt will open its first hotel in Kuwait after this summer, in what is considered a significant milestone for both.

The Grand Hyatt Kuwait will be the chain’s 59th hotel with a much-anticipated build-up to its launch. Kuwait has seen a healthy rise in travel and tourism spending in the country over the last few years.

The new hotel sits within the 360 Mall which comprises of 130,000 square metres of retail space, the 5,800-seater multi-purpose Arena Kuwait, a tennis academy and arena with tennis courts operated by the Rafa Nadal Academy Kuwait.  

The hospitality development is located 9km away from Kuwait International Airport and “will welcome guests to a world of entertainment set to deliver enchanting and vibrant experiences in a one-of-a-kind setting,” Hyattt said in a statement. 

The 302-room luxury hotel will features 21 guestrooms and suites designed with private landscaped garden terraces, 35 grand club suites along with a presidential Suite.

The hotel will be home to three restaurant experiences including a Turkish lifestyle-dining venue celebrating the famed influences of Ottoman cuisine and a fine dining Chinese restaurant with classic menu items, such as the world-renowned Peking Duck

Hotels in the Middle East are bouncing back from the slump in tourists from the Covid-19 pandemic with big increases in occupancy posted in the first quarter of 2022. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are among those that have seen big rebounds in their hotel sectors.
