A troupe of performance artists from the UK, walking on stilts, are carrying LG’s message of “standing tall” to the Gitex crowds. The performers are dressed as spacemen to entertain visitors queuing for a look at LG’s new range of desktops and notebooks, not to mention plasma screens, storage devices, mobile phones and DVD players. LG argues it will achieve a 20% regional market share of the PC and notebook market by the end of 2004. The introduction of PCs and notebooks means LG now covers every product segment in the region.
