Enterprise storage solutions vendor Network Appliance (NetApp) will demonstrate its latest storage platform FAS3000 and its complete data management portfolio at Gitex 2005.
The FAS3000 is a modular and scalable series of midrange storage systems that delivers up to twice the price/performance and supports more users per system than previous generation FAS storage systems. As part of the unified NetApp architecture, the FAS3000 midrange systems support file services, FC SAN, IP SAN, and multiple network configurations, while offering scalability to higher performance systems without requiring the “forklift” data migration needed by most other offerings currently on the market.
“The NetApp FAS series of primary storage systems combine Fibre Channel SAN, IP SAN and NAS in one single architecture and scale from 500Gbytes to virtually hundreds of terabytes,” says Michael Jordan, marketing manager, Network Appliance North East Europe, Middle East & Africa.
