Oman Mobile has stepped ahead of competition in its newly deregulated wireless marketplace by announcing the deployment of an end-to-end Cisco IP communications services network.
The Intelligent Information Network (IIN) solutions deployed at the Omani telco include IP converged network routers and switches, IP telephony systems and applications, and various wireless and mobility solutions. The network was mplemented by Gulf Business Machines (GBM).
Oman Mobile said in a statement announcing the project that the new infrastructure will give it increased security, quality of service, reduced costs, and improved efficiency and business performance.
