Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has thanked Saudi Arabia for the decision to offer $400m in humanitarian aid.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Mr Zelensky spoke on the phone, reported the Saudi state news agency SPA said.

$400m aid to Ukraine

The $400m humanitarian aid package to Ukraine will contribute to alleviating the suffering of Ukrainian citizens amid the ongoing crisis.

According to the SPA, Mr Zelensky expressed his thanks for Saudi Arabia’s mediation efforts aimed at finding a resolution to the conflict.

This comes after UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin met one another on Tuesday.
