Dubai is set to display six huge fireworks on December 19, marking the beginning of the much-awaited Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). The fireworks are scheduled for 8.30 PM and 9.30 PM at various locations.
Residents can witness these fireworks at The Beach (opposite JBR and Bluewaters), Burj Al Arab, Dubai Frame, Al Seef, Dubai Creek, and Dubai Festival City Mall.
Here are the timings:
- Al Seef: 8.30 PM
- Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR: 9.30 PM
This year, DSF will kick-off the beginning of the shopping season with regional music concerts lined up, cultural performances and live entertainment.
The emirate will also see fireworks from December 20 until January 29, all scheduled to go live at 8.30 PM or 9 PM.
This is the 28th edition of the shopping event, which was first introduced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The annual month-long event is aimed at attracting tourists from across the world, to avail discounts on various offerings in the emirate. The motto for DSF is “One World, One Family, One Festival”.
Residents and tourists can also take part in raffle draws, service deals, among other offerings.
