Motorists in parts of the UAE can still get a 50% discount on traffic fines – but only if they act quickly.
Sharjah Police have issued a reminder about a special offer on paying off traffic fines in the Emirate.
A discount of 50 per cent is offered on traffic fines in the Sharjah, but the deadline is fast approaching.
UAE traffic fine reduction
To avail the discount fines must be paid in full by March 31, meaning there is just over a week left to settle bills.
Serious violations are exempt from the discount, said police.
A reminder posted to the Sharjah Police twitter account said: “The Sharjah police reminds that the last day to take advantage of the violation reduction. All fines issued before March 31 are included, except serious violation.
“Payment is available through the smart app, Sharjah Police or Sahel devices located in police stations or shopping centres”.
