Dubai Police have arrested a man for practising medicine without a licence by conducting hair transplant procedures inside his residential apartment, in violation of UAE law and putting clients’ lives at risk.

The Anti-Economic Crimes Department at Dubai Police’s General Department of Criminal Investigation carried out the operation in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

The arrest followed investigations into the suspect’s activities, including his promotion of unlicensed procedures through videos posted on a dedicated social media account.

When officers raided the apartment, they found a three-bedroom flat where the suspect used two rooms for family living and had converted the third into a makeshift clinic.

He had fitted out the room to conduct operations without meeting required health and safety standards.

Police discovered medical devices and instruments used in hair transplant procedures, along with chemicals and solutions such as anaesthetics and disinfectants.

Dubai Police shut down the apartment, confiscated all medical materials, and have taken legal action against the suspect.

Dubai Police urged members of the public to only seek services at licensed clinics and facilities and to verify the qualifications of healthcare and cosmetic providers. Authorities also warned against falling for misleading offers that could endanger lives, stressing their commitment to safeguarding health and security across the community.

Dubai Police encourage residents to report any similar unlicensed medical activity immediately through official communication channels.
