The UAE has announced an official paid holiday for the private sector to recognise National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced that Monday and Tuesday, December 1 and 2, will be an official paid holiday for all employees in the private sector across the UAE to mark the 54th Eid Al Etihad.

The Ministry issued a circular announcing the holiday, in line with the Cabinet’s decision regarding approved official holidays for the government and private sectors.

The MoHRE extended its congratulations to the wise leadership and people of the UAE, as well as all residents in the country.

It follows an earlier announcement from the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) stating that employees of federal ministries and entities will have a holiday on the same dates.

Work will resume on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025.

With Friday and Saturday being a typical weekend, it means a four-day holiday is planned in the United Arab Emirates.
