Cyberoam signs GateWorx as MEA distribution partner

Unified threat management (UTM) appliance vendor Cyberoam has signed up Egypt-based GateWorx as a regional distributor covering the MEA theatre.

Unified threat management (UTM) appliance vendor Cyberoam has signed up Egypt-based GateWorx as a regional distributor covering the Middle East and Africa.

“Given the increasing volume and range of Internet threats, enterprises in the region recognise that they require more than just a firewall and anti-virus for enterprise security,” said Mohamed Haroon, general manager at GateWorx.

“Secondly, enterprises need instant visibility into user activity. The addition of Cyberoam to our product portfolio helps us meet these enterprise security requirements for the complete security feature portfolio as well as for implementing identity-based security policies that move with the user anywhere in the network,” he added.

Cyberoam has increased its channel breadth in the Middle East this year boosting its partner base to include players such as Latitude Systems, VisionTech and ME Info Systems.

“GateWorx’s extensive reseller network in Egypt and its strong focus on offering complete solutions rather than only product sales will help us in gaining a stronger foothold in the network security market,” said Harish Chib, VP marketing EMEA at Cyberoam. “With this partnership we target around US$1m revenue from the region’s security market.”

Cyberoam claims that its appliances offer comprehensive threat protection against all internet threats including spyware, phishing, pharming, viruses and worms through a complete set of security features including identity-based firewalls, VPN, anti-virus, anti-spam, content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention, bandwidth management and multiple link management on a single platform.
