AccorHotels signs agreements for two hotels and serviced apartments in Garhoud; to open in 2018

French giant inks deal for new Dubai hotels, apartments

AccorHotels has announced the signing of two new management agreements with Hasabi Real Estate for the development of two hotels and serviced apartments in Dubai.

Under the deal, an upscale hotel and serviced apartments Majlis Grand Mercure Hotel & Residences Al Garhoud and an economy lifestyle hotel ibis Styles Al Garhoud are expected to open in 2018.

Majlis Grand Mercure Hotel & Residences Al Garhoud and ibis Styles Al Garhoud will be developed within the commercial and residential district of Al Garhoud in Dubai. The two properties will form a cluster located within 350 meters of GGICO metro station.

Majlis Grand Mercure Hotel & Residences Al Garhoud will offer 250 upscale hotel rooms and 100 upscale serviced apartments. The property will also include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty cuisine restaurant, a lounge and a lobby café, in addition to a number of meeting rooms. Guests will also be able to enjoy the hotel's swimming pool and health club and spa.

At the adjoining ibis Styles Al Garhoud, 350 keys will be available. The economy hotel will encompass an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby café, and meeting facilities.

AccorHotels currently operates over 70 hotels in the Middle East, encompassing close to 18,000 rooms across the luxury to economy segments. The Group has another 55 hotels under development in the region, bringing an additional 15,000 rooms to the Middle East.
