The new iMac’s come in 20” and 24” versions, including the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB SDRAM memory, and up to 1TB of hard drive space.
Aluminum and glass enclosures replace the usual plastic casing, in a move that Apple says will make the iMac highly recyclable.
Apple also launched the new iWork ’08 and iLife ’08 suites of productivity and digital lifestyle applications.
Steve Jobs, Apple CEO hailed the new iMac as “the most incredible desktop computer we’ve ever made”.
