John Lennon drawings, prose to be auctioned
The Beatle’s original prose and manuscripts have gone on display at Sotheby’s in New York, ahead of a major auction due to take place on June 4

Drawings are viewed as part of a collection of letters, poems and drawings from John Lennon to be auctioned at Sotheby’s auction house on May 29, 2014 in New York City. The drawings, poems and prose were created for inclusion in the books ‘In His Own Write’ and ‘A Spaniard in the Works’. According to Sotheby’s, this will be the largest private collection of Lennon’s work to come to ever be auctioned. The artefacts date from 1964 and 1965 range from estimates of $500 to $70,000.
