Cargo facilities at most of the airports in the Middle East region were busy in the first half of 2012. According to Airports Council International (ACI), five of the ten busiest cargo airports in the region experienced double digit growth between January and June. While none of the remaining five witnessed a fall in traffic. This was achieved despite a decidedly mixed outlook for the air cargo industry globally, with all other markets showing a decline compared to a year ago. The figures in the report cover loaded and unloaded freight and mail.
