Dubai’s Etoile Group has significantly expanded its luxury retail footprint across the Gulf region, opening 11 new boutiques for high-end brands like Etoile La Boutique, Aquazzura, Tod’s, Etro and Chanel in the first half of 2024.

The luxury fashion retail company said the strategic openings in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain mark a major milestone in its ambitious expansion plans for this year.

“Our vision for 2024 goes beyond just opening new stores; it’s about elevating every aspect of the shopping experience,” Etoile Group founder and president Ingie Chalhoub said in a statement on Sunday.

“From meticulously curated collections to immersive shopping environments, each store serves as cultural hubs where art, fashion, and sophistication intertwine, setting new standards of excellence in luxury fashion retail,” she added.

Among the notable boutique unveilings are the relocation and reopening of the Etoile La Boutique concept store in Abu Dhabi’s The Galleria Mall in March and new Aquazzura footwear stores in Dubai and Bahrain.

Etoile’s gulf expansion

Etoile, which established a presence in the Gulf in 1983, has also expanded Italian brands Tod’s and Etro with multiple boutique openings each across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in the past six months.

This includes the unveiling in December of Etro’s first new boutique concept anywhere in the world at Dubai Mall, featuring an art gallery with works from renowned international talents.

New Chanel boutiques were also launched in Bahrain and Kuwait as part of the expansion drive. The group said its strategy over the next five years is to double revenue and its workforce while forging new partnerships to enhance the luxury experience.

“Welcoming these new stores into the Etoile Group family marks a significant step forward in our mission to redefine luxury retail in the region,” said Samer Khouri, Etoile Group’s managing director.

“As we unveil these exquisite spaces, we also look ahead to expanding our digital footprint and forging strategic partnerships to enhance the shopping experience for our customers.”
