Kuwait Airways has threatened to take legal action against those circulating rumours on social media about the safety of the tires of the airline’s newly acquired aircraft and the company’s safety standards.
The national airline of Kuwait took to social media platform X, categorically denying the accuracy of these posts.
The airline asked the public and media outlets to avoid spreading unverified information and asked customers to rely on official company statements. It added that it reserves the right to take legal action against individuals or organisations disseminating false information that damage the airline’s reputation.
The post said that under no circumstances is it permitted to use any aircraft that does not meet the safety procedures and conditions.
The post added: “All aircraft are acquired to follow rigorous safety and compliance protocols mandated by the Kuwaiti Civil Aviation Authority and the European Air Transport Association (EASA). No aircraft is permitted to operate unless it meets all safety requirements.
“Upon receiving a new plane, every aircraft undergoes thorough technical inspections to ensure it complies with safety regulations and operational needs. This includes verifying the availability of spare parts and tires, which are sourced from specialised companies.”
