The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar has published a new set of guidelines on the process of granting licences for schools.
The Private Schools Office at the ministry’s Education Institute issued the guidelines with the aim of unifying disparate sets of requirements for obtaining a licence to operate a private school in the country, Qatar News Agency reported.
It did not provide specific information on the requirements, but sets out applicants’ duties with regard submitting a licence application.
It is intended to make it easier for private schools to be set up in Qatar, to improve the education offer and make the set-up process more transparent, QNA said.
