Jerry Inzerillo was named Industry Leader of the Year at the Hotelier Middle East Awards 2022. The group CEO of KSA’s $50 billion Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), Inzerillo has spent the last 5 decades working within some of the world’s leading organisations.
After collecting his award, Inzerillo delivered a speech to more than 500 people in the Dubai Ballroom of the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. He dedicated his speech to the next generation of hoteliers and highlighted service as one of the most noble professions out there.
“My dear innkeepers. What a great honour it is to be here with you all. The only thing I love more than serving is being with young innkeepers like the ones in this room. You are the future of this industry. I believe in you – I am so excited by you all tonight, I’ve had goosebumps.” Inzerillo said in the speech.
“I started in this type of room as a banquet busboy on May 2, 1967. I’ve been cleaning tables for 55 years and I’m still cleaning tables now. You are the greatest in the industry, I am so proud of you all. You have unbelievable futures so dream big.” he added.
