The Riyadh Metro has served nearly 18m passengers and taken more than 162,000 trips, since it launched on December 1, 2024, according to The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC).
Its journeys have covered approximately 4.5 million kilometres across the six train lines in that time.
The RCRC highlighted that the Blue Line—Al-Olaya Al-Batha Axis is the most utilised, recording nearly 10m passengers during this period.

Additionally, the KAFD Station attracted the highest passenger traffic of more than 3m.
Passengers can select destinations and purchase tickets through the “darb” mobile app, vending machines at stations, or digital payment methods via banks and smart devices.
The Metro offers standard and First Class tickets, with prices ranging between SR4 ($1.1) and SR350 ($93.2) depending on the duration and standard of travel.
Standard Class tickets cost:
- Two-hour pass: SR4 ($1.1)
- Three-day pass: SR20 ($5.3)
- Seven-day pass: SR40 ($10.7)
- Thirty-day pass: SR140 ($37.3)
First Class tickets cost:
- Two-hour pass: SR10 ($2.7)
- Three-day pass: SR50 ($13.3)
- Seven-day pass: SR100 ($27)
- Thirty-day pass: SR350 ($93.2)
