Saudi Arabia is speeding up airport waiting times by adding safe and secure e-gates at border control in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah.

The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) is driving the Kingdom’s digital transformation across various sectors through data and artificial intelligence, exemplified by its implementation of electronic passport gates at the Kingdom’s airports.

In partnership with the General Directorate of Passports and Matarat Holding, SDAIA has deployed 152 automated e-gates at key airports:

  • King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh
  • King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah
  • King Fahd International Airport in Dammam
  • Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah
