Saudi Arabia’s Supply Chain and Logistics Conference 2024 witnessed the signing of 91 agreements worth SR8.3bn ($2.2bn) aimed at developing the operations and efficiency of supply chains.

The conference was held under the patronage of Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, concluded Monday in Riyadh after two days of discussions.

Esteemed ministers, senior officials, and company leaders from the supply chains and logistics services sector attended the conference, with participation from global and local organisations.

It also saw the attendance of heads of authorities and institutions in promising fields from both the public and private sectors, aimed at enhancing the work of supply chains and logistics services.

It featured specialised lectures covering all aspects of global supply-chain movements, a concurrent exhibition that included 65 international and local companies, and eight specialised workshops.

The conference highlighted Saudi Arabia’s leading experience in enhancing supply-chain operations in its pursuit of achieving global competitiveness in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

Moreover, it focused on the role of artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital innovation in supporting logistics services, as well as the importance of having strong economic foundations to build and develop business sectors and supply chains.

The conference aims to develop supply-chain operations, expand investment opportunities, strengthen partnerships with the private sector, and highlight Saudi Arabia’s significant role in enhancing global supply chains and the logistics industry.

It also seeks to explore the latest global trends to improve supply-chain performance, develop logistics work, and refine export strategies to support the national economy, solidifying the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub and a key link between three continents.
