Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, a heritage site with over 200,000 years of history, home to some of the world’s ancient cultural sites, sandstone mountains and oases, has opened a new attraction within the mountains. ‘The AlUla Stairway‘ is a 45-metre suspended ladder for thrillseekers to climb and features a zipline down back to the valley.
The ladder allows enthusiasts to climb up to one of AlUla’s mountain tops, secured by a safety system. Once at the top, the climber can descend to the canyon below with a 150-metre zipline.
The attraction is a one-hour experience with a minimum age requirement of 12 years. Height and weight restrictions also apply, the participant needs to be a minimum of 110cm tall and a maximum weight of 100 kg.
The attraction costs SAR150, per person.
