The Saudi finance ministry hosted on Sunday the 117th meeting of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee (FECC).
The meeting was scheduled to discuss the impact of the world economic crises on the GCC economies, besides reviewing a host of issues related to enhancing financial and economic cooperation among the GCC countries.
Post-FECC meeting, the GCC financial ministers and governors of central banks were also scheduled to hold a joint meeting with the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva to discuss a number of issues concerning the region.
The impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the world economy, energy and food market turmoil and continuing supply bottlenecks, besides cooperation between IMF and GCC countries were expected to figure in the meeting.
