Ain Dubai will open when ‘ready’, says Dubai Holding Entertainment chief

“We are working hard to open [Ain Dubai] to the public, and through the official channels of the company we will announce when we are ready. But, no doubt – it will be an amazing attraction, as it is the largest wheel in the world, and its engineering is amazing,” Eiroa said.

Eiroa’s comments came on the side lines of the 2024 edition of the Arabian Travel Market held at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Ain Dubai is currently shut until further notice. “Once a reopening date is set, a further announcement will be made. In line with our commitment to offering guests an experience unlike any other, we look forward to introducing new and exciting offers when we re-open Ain Dubai for visitors to enjoy from across the globe,” the Ain Dubai website reads.

Aside from this, DHE’s Eiroa spoke about the decision to extend Season 28 of Global Village.

“[We had to extend] because of the rain for a few days, so we wanted to compensate for the days lost and mainly because of popular demand – we saw a lot of demand from visitors asking to extend the season,” he said.

When asked if Global Village alone saw a lot of visitors, Eiroa said that international visitors “increased in a substantial way, and this is becoming a very important part of the business,” adding that the company is also “thinking of” what to offer visitors next year.

Dubai – an ‘important’ destination for entertainment

Eiroa also expressed his thoughts on how Dubai, as one of the top destinations of the world, is also becoming a “very important” destination for entertainment.

“Dubai, and the UAE in general, is becoming a very important destination. As I always say – the attractions, the parks that we have here in Dubai and in the UAE are amazing – as is the quality, the brands, the size, what we offer here is second to none in the world,” he concluded.
