The world cup-induced raging football fever in the Middle East seems to be giving innovative ideas to the corporate sector in the region, with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) announcing launch of ‘The Football Park’, an exclusive venue to watch the matches amidst shopping, dining and entertainment.

DIFC has promised football fans a one-of-its-kind luxurious viewing experience of watching the unfolding of the world’s greatest football tournament at its newly launched football park.

The FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be held in Qatar from November 20 till December 18, 2022.

The Football Park match viewing facility is organised in collaboration with Art Dubai Group and Hoko Agency – two leading agencies for programming and hospitality offerings.

“The Football Park will be held at the podium level of Gate Avenue with outstanding views that will offer the ultimate match-day experience to visitors during each game,” DIFC said in a media statement.

The Centre said pre-booked guests would be able to access its exclusive outdoor hospitality section, where they can choose from the finest culinary offerings – including from renowned Michelin Guide Dubai restaurants.

Private lounges with exclusive butler service will also be available for corporate hospitality and hosting opportunities.

Saleh Al Akrabi, chief executive officer of DIFC property management said the Centre was excited to give visitors and corporate guests an opportunity to experience a truly unique and premium way to watch and be part of the world’s greatest football tournament.

“Along with our partners, we will ensure that ‘The Football Park’ experience is as legendary as the game itself. We are working towards making this event the next best thing to the live, on-field experience,” Al Akrabi said.

Discerning guests will get an unsurpassed viewing experience that will include a dedicated concierge, an optimum positioned lounge, a la carte dining with premium beverage package, a chauffeur-drive service and the option to watch the games with a celebrity or former football player.

The match viewing venue will be located amidst the over 300 retail outlets that the Centre offers, including leading restaurants, brands and lifestyle concepts from across the world.

Public areas will broadcast the matches and football fans will be able to drop by anytime to watch the games on the big screens outdoors.

There will also be a range of games, activities and events during the tournament for visitors to enjoy and participate in.

Tickets for match viewing at The Football Park will go on sale from September 15.
