The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the establishment of the Colombian Business Council.
This initiative, part of Dubai’s broader strategy to enhance international trade relations, aims to create new opportunities for private sector companies in both markets.
The council’s formation comes as Dubai continues to position itself as a global business hub, with a focus on expanding its network of international partnerships.
“Business Councils serve as important platforms to enhance cooperation, develop promising opportunities, and build fruitful partnerships,” said Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers.
Dubai Chambers hosts Colombian Business Council
The inaugural annual general meeting of the Colombian Business Council, held recently at Dubai Chambers, saw participants outlining key priorities and discussing plans for the coming months.
The council’s activities will focus on sectors that show the most promise for business communities in both Dubai and Colombia.
This initiative is part of a larger strategy by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to contribute to the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
The chamber is actively working to increase the number of country-specific Business Councils, which play a crucial role in opening new channels of economic cooperation and advancing the interests of investors from strategically important markets.
“We remain committed to ensuring they contribute to the growth of the private sector and strengthen its contribution to sustainable economic development in Dubai,” Al Gargawi added.
The establishment of the Colombian Business Council is expected to pave the way for increased bilateral trade and investment, potentially opening up new avenues for businesses in both regions.
