Amid sky-high New Year’s Eve prices in Downtown for views of the Burj Khalifa firework show, a group of diners have spent AED620,926.21 on a lavish bill at GAL in the Address Downtown, Dubai.
Among hiked prices in the Downtown area, restaurants in Dubai Mall like Nando’s charged AED5000 per person, Starbucks charged AED1600 per person, and Pizza Hut charged AED1300 per person.
The whopping bill was posted on Instagram and has gone viral on social media.
The bill details a table of 18 people with items on the bill consisting mainly alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Posted by an instagram user who is a restaurateur with GAL being one on the list, it is unclear if the bill was paid for by him or for cost tracking purposes for the restaurant.
