Two existing royal suites in the building will also be retained for residential use.

“This exciting development with Cheval Collection marks an important step as our city evolves into a thriving destination of the future, offering accommodation options that cater to all visitors and residents – whether they’re staying for a few days, a few months or making the city their permanent home.

“As a vibrant and growing hub for business, innovation, culture and entertainment and a go-to destination for globally significant events, it is crucial that we provide an array of hospitality amenities for those seeking to make the most of everything our city has to offer. This new Cheval property reflects our commitment to sustainable development and reinforces our position as a prime destination for business and leisure travellers,” Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development & Delivery Officer at Expo City Dubai said.

The serviced apartments will complement existing accommodation and residential options in Expo City and are intended to attract both short and long term visitors.

They will be located within walking distance of attractions at the former Expo 2020 site and benefit from Metro and airport links.

This will be Cheval Collection’s second property in the Middle East, expanding on their presence in Dubai.

“We are privileged to be working with Expo City Dubai to enhance this showcase city and play a role in the emirate’s evolution into a leading global destination. Dubai has a well-earned reputation for luxury innovation, and we believe the Cheval Maison brand is a fitting choice for Expo City. We are thrilled to start the year with this announcement and anticipate further signings in dynamic locations during 2024 as we pursue our strategy of growth through management contracts,” Mohammed S. Alawadhi, Managing Director of Cheval Collection added.
