In an email shared with residents, Nakheel has announced the “important decision” to cancel all events and activities within the community until further notice.
Nakheel cited the “current global situation and the impact of this on the global community,” for the cancellation.
“We understand many of you look forward to these community events and we appreciate your support on this decision. Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent events, and we stand in solidarity with them during these challenging times,” Nakheel said, adding “we regret any inconvenience that these cancellations may cause and we thank you for your understanding given these extraordinary circumstances.”
Dubai’s Emaar, Coca-Cola Arena cancels events, concerts
On Sunday, Emaar also announced the cancellation of community events and festivities in its Dubai property developments citing “the current global situation.”
Additionally, earlier last week Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena announced the rescheduling of two concerts, featuring Amr Diab, Sean Paul and T.I..
However, the Coca-Cola Arena did not mention the reasons behind the change. New dates are yet to be confirmed.
“The Amr Diab and Sean Paul & T.I. concerts scheduled for this weekend at the Coca-Cola Arena will be postponed. Over the coming days we will work closely with the authorities, promoters, and artist management to secure new dates,” the arena’s statement read.
