IFZA Dubai, UAE’s international Free Zone, announced the outcome of its community drive, Spirit of Giving, to raise aid for Fujairah-based animal shelter, Animals & Us, which was severely affected by the recent flooding in the Northern Emirates.

IFZA employees, professional partners and licensees collected over two tonnes of dog and cat food, disinfectant and pet bedding.

AED 21,500 was also raised, to go toward the veterinary care of the animals and the rehabilitation of the facilities.

Animals & Us shelter is home to 400 dogs, 90 cats and provides for thousands of strays on the streets of Fujairah. The shelter is supported by volunteers and donors for food and veterinary costs.

“When we heard about the impact of the flood, we were motivated to assist in any way that we could through IFZA Cares. We appreciate the generosity of the IFZA Community of Employees, Professional Partners, and Licensees who all stepped forward in a time of need, and this truly communicates the IFZA Spirit of Giving,” said IFZA Chairman, Martin G. Pedersen.
